Timber House offers a great getaway for those busy and tired of city life. Come and recharge yourself at this private retreat, where attention to detail creates a unique and unforgettable experience. Timber House was constructed for those that can appreciate simple perfection. The wooden construct with its own spacious garden is located in Hradec Králové and on the frontier of its surrounding forests.
The space
The house is single-floor with a kitchen and dining area, bathroom, living room and bedroom.
It is built as a 50 sqm portable home from the latest in wooden house construction, cross-laminated timber (CLT), with large windows and underfloor heating throughout the whole house.
The kitchen and dining area is modern, new and fully equipped. The appliances available include an electric oven with an induction cooktop, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, kettle, Japanese dripper pot and Italian moka pot. Included are all necessary cooking spices, utensils and dinnerware.
The bathroom features a walk-in shower, a washer-dryer as well as direct access to a secluded deck for additional clothesline drying.
The living room is ideal for reading or watching television (satellite/local/Netflix) on a flat-screen TV. It has a corner lounge couch that can be converted for extra sleeping space.
Clothes and luggage can be stored in a spacious walk-in closet.
The main feature of the bedroom is a custom made Japanese-style queen size bed with bedding made of natural wrinkled cotton and a calming view of the property’s greenery. For those that require space for work, there is a peaceful working area. The bedroom has access to a large private terrace – the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.
Free and unlimited high-speed wireless internet connectivity is available throughout the house. Wired ethernet connection is available in the living room. Timber House is equipped with an AC unit with air-quality improving filters.
UPDATE: Timber House now has a newly-built Squirrel Hut; a private sauna with a relaxation area. Guests can unwind in the sauna or take a shower or a relaxing bath in a space that is uniquely connected to the outdoor garden. While the sauna is available all-year-round, the shower and hot tub are operational only from spring through autumn.
Guest access
Guests have access to the house and their own spacious garden around it. There is a front patio ideal for morning coffee, a secluded bathroom-connected deck and a private terrace with deck chairs accessible from the bedroom.
An outdoor fireplace is on-site with all required equipment and fuel stored under the terrace. A charcoal grill is also a possibility upon request.
The property offers gate-secured (remote-controlled) parking for up to two vehicles. There is also covered parking available adjacent to the property, which I am happy to arrange if you are booking a longer stay.
Two retro city bicycles are available to all guests. Should you be interested in riding to the neighborhood supermarket or pub, you will find the bicycles on-site and ready-for-use.
